I know what it’s like to feel stuck because of bad credit. As a first-generation Latina, I wasn’t taught about credit growing up. When I went to buy my first car, I walked into the dealership excited and ready—only to walk out with a sky-high interest rate that cost me thousands. Why? Because no one ever taught me how credit really works. That moment changed everything. I realized how many people, especially in our communities, are kept from owning homes, starting businesses, and building wealth simply because they were never given the right knowledge. I made it my mission to close that gap.
